As a Custodial Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of various spaces, including classrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, gyms, locker rooms, public washrooms, offices, kitchens, and dining areas. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform meticulous sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors throughout designated areas.
  • Thoroughly dust and sanitize countertops and tables to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Ensure sparkling cleanliness by washing windows and window ledges.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene in public toilets, sinks, showers, and change rooms.
  • Promptly empty garbage receptacles and collect recyclables to promote a clean and organized campus.

Occasional heavy lifting may be required, and you will be provided with personal protective equipment for your safety.

Qualifications:

  • A comprehensive understanding of general cleaning practices and their effective application.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent prioritizing skills to manage daily tasks effectively, as responsibilities may vary based on campus activities.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills for interactions with clients and fellow staff members.
  • Maintain a meticulous attention to detail and deliver work to the highest standards.
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.

Special Requirements:

This position requires flexibility as you will be working a rotating schedule. Days off may not always be consecutive, depending on operational needs.
