Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Meat Processing Specialist to join our team at Pukka Restaurant. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
- Experience: Previous experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role is preferred.
The successful candidate will work in a vibrant setting, primarily within a large restaurant and hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare meats for processing by cleaning and sanitizing.
- Skillfully cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet quality standards.
- Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Wrap and package meats for storage and presentation.
- Remove bones from various meat types with precision.
- Cut poultry into appropriate parts for culinary use.
- Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for menu offerings.
- Grind meats as required for specific dishes.
- Assist in training new meat cutters to uphold our standards.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Hours: Expected working hours range from 32 to 35 hours per week.
