Job Summary

The Fyre Place & Patio Shop is seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining gas heating units and their components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Service: Install gas heating units and their components, and service them as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Client Consultation: Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Equipment Testing and Repair: Test and adjust control mechanisms, check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices, and replace defective equipment or components.
  • Certification and Compliance: Possess and maintain relevant certifications, such as Gas Fitter Trade Certification, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Transportation and Safety: Possess a valid driver's license and undergo regular driver's validity checks, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but experience is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel, and possess excellent physical stamina.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral communication skills, and a positive attitude.
