Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Teknion. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Industrial Mechanic diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Basic electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
  • Mathematical skills and ability to read technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code, OHSA, TSSA, and WHMIS regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic applications.
  • Ability to operate manual and power hand tools.
  • Basic Programmable Logic Controller knowledge.
