Job Title: Technician, Mechanical Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technician, Mechanical Services to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to instrument and valve repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance in industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintenance of industrial instruments and valves
  • Troubleshooting of industrial flow control equipment
  • Reviewing technical specifications and blueprints to determine installation procedures and materials required
  • Fabrication and requisition of parts for assembly
  • Final assembly and testing of valve and valve automation products
  • Responding to valve-related emergencies
  • Performing instrument setup and calibration
  • Testing and replacement of defective equipment or components
  • Advising clients on safety features and maintenance of systems
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers
Requirements:
  • Technician/Technologist College diploma in a related field
  • Millwright/Instrumentation Certificate or 5 years of experience in valve automation assembly and integration
  • Experience in assembling, setting, and testing various types of valves
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, millwrighting, machining, and welding
  • Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 working environment
  • Knowledge of valves, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic valve actuators
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric circuits and first principles
  • Knowledge of part layout, machining, and shop practices
  • Knowledge of interpretation of engineering drawings and dimensioning
