Mechanical Design Engineer - Vancouver

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team in Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems for various building projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and specifications using Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and Dynamo software.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into building designs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and identify potential design challenges.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to support design proposals and project documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations related to mechanical building systems.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of direct industry experience in the field of mechanical building services.
  • Diploma/Degree from an electrical building services/engineering program.
  • A C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will be considered.
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and Dynamo software.
  • Knowledge of the British Columbia Building Code, Plumbing Code, and Energy Step Code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
