Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up packages, messages, and other items by hand, ensuring they are handled with care and delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Operate and Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service by being professional, courteous, and responsive to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Receive and Relay Information to central dispatch, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Load and Unload Goods safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Use Maps and Trip Planning Aids to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles) is required.
  • Local Transportation/Travel Experience is essential.
  • Criminal Record Check, Bondable, Driving Record Check (Abstract), Drug Test, and Basic Security Clearance are mandatory.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and a Vehicle Supplied by Employer are required.
  • Attention to Detail, Fast-Paced Environment, Tight Deadlines, Work Under Pressure, Physically Demanding, and Handling Heavy Loads are essential skills.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling is required.
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots, Cellular Phone, and Gloves are necessary tools.
  • Client Focus, Efficient Interpersonal Skills, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team Player, Accurate, Dependability, Initiative, and Punctuality are essential personal qualities.
