Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a qualified Locksmith to join our team in the Kelowna area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Installing door hardware and related products according to specifications.
  2. Repairing and servicing door hardware to meet client expectations.
  3. Maintaining and repairing safe bolt works, combination locks, and time delay locks.
  4. Possessing a working knowledge of combination lock manipulation and drilling techniques.
  5. Designing and managing master key systems, both standard and high-security.
  6. Demonstrating strong knowledge of common and restricted cylinder pinning.
  7. Ensuring all client equipment remains operational at all times, considering retrofit options for repairs.
  8. Responding promptly and professionally to customer needs, recommending solutions to enhance physical security measures.
  9. Assisting with the relocation and installation of vaults and safes as directed.
  10. Participating in the refurbishment of safes and vaults.
  11. Performing additional duties as required.

Experience Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a locksmith, safe technician, or electronics technician.
  2. Proven diagnostic skills with the ability to systematically identify and resolve technical issues.
  3. Familiarity with Electronic Security Systems is an asset.
  4. A valid G driver's license is mandatory.
  5. Experience in providing high-quality customer service to a diverse clientele.
  6. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.

Personality Traits:

  1. Self-motivated and able to remain calm under pressure.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Intermediate computer skills are required.
  4. Able to work independently while also taking direction effectively.
  5. Capable of lifting more than 25 kilograms.
  6. A criminal background check will be necessary.
  7. Punctuality and reliability are essential.
