Position Overview

G Mason Construction is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to manage and operate various types of machinery in a construction environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment on job sites.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The work will primarily take place outdoors, often in challenging conditions such as:

  • Hot and cold temperatures
  • Dusty environments
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy machinery including backhoe excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and more.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment.
  • Complete necessary logs and documentation related to equipment operation.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
  • Attach and secure special equipment as needed.
  • Utilize two-way radios and other communication devices effectively.
  • Carry out minor repairs on machinery as required.
