Brasserie Boulud

Brasserie Boulud brings the essence of 'gastronomie francaise' to Dubai, offering a menu filled with simple, fresh, and seasonal dishes that are crafted to deliver authentic culinary experiences. Drawing inspiration from the French 'art de vivre', our restaurant showcases contemporary French cuisine rooted in tradition, embodying Chef Daniel Boulud's relaxed approach to fine dining.

The Position

As a Food and Beverage Server, your role is to deliver prompt and courteous service to our esteemed guests.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Stay informed about daily events to recognize VIP arrivals.
  2. Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and communicate this information clearly to guests.
  3. Present children's menus when appropriate and articulate daily specials and alternative options.
  4. Serve and clear food and beverages in a professional and unobtrusive manner.
  5. Utilize the POS system for sales transactions, check printing, and cash-out procedures.
  6. Efficiently carry trays, bus tables, and reset dining areas with appropriate tableware.
  7. Gauge guest satisfaction and address any issues, reporting them to management as necessary.
  8. Adhere to cash handling and credit card processing protocols as outlined by the accounting department.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the restaurant throughout service.
  10. Regularly polish silverware and replenish condiments as needed.
  11. Ensure workstations are stocked with necessary supplies at all times.
  12. Relay guest feedback regarding food and beverage to management.
  13. Handle and maintain operational equipment with care.
  14. Comply with safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  15. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  16. Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and beverage services, outlets, and hotel amenities.
  17. Perform assigned opening and closing duties and set tables according to established standards.
  18. Report any deviations from established standards and procedures to management.
  19. Ensure all service and storage areas are kept clean and secure.
  20. Minimize waste and prevent mishandling of supplies and equipment.
  21. Assist with light cleaning and maintenance of the outlet.
  22. Support other Food & Beverage outlets during peak service times as needed.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Consistently well-presented and professionally groomed.
  • Able to manage cash transactions effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; adept at problem-solving.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage products.
  • A collaborative team player with attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of secondary education.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least one year of experience in food and beverage service.
  • Prior experience in customer service and/or cashiering is preferred.
