About the Role
Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Alternative Caregiver to provide care and support to children and youth in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, part-time, or emergency care to children and youth, meeting their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Work collaboratively with our dynamic team to ensure the best interests of the children and youth are met.
- Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing home environment, free from hazards and harm.
- Provide love, support, and stability to children and youth for the duration of their placement.
- Work with Kunuwanimano's team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each child and youth.
Requirements
- Education or experience in child and youth care, psychology, sociology, or a related field is an asset.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of children and youth.
- A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
- Ability to work collaboratively with our team and First Nations partners.
- Flexibility in scheduling to ensure the needs of children and youth are met.
- A commitment to cultural sensitivity and the importance of preserving traditional practices.
