Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at Marriott International. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and quality for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
  • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
  • Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
  • Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load.
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load.
  • Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine.
  • Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Related work experience in laundry operations or a related field.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with laundry equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of fabric care and cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
