Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health Team. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to adults with Tier-3 mental disorders and substance use disorders.
The successful candidate will work within a Stepped Care framework, guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. You will participate in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a PhD in clinical psychology or Psy.D. degree, and current registration as a Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) or current listing on the Candidate Register under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist.
- Minimum of two years clinical experience working with an adult population providing time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments.
- Demonstrated skills in DSM diagnosis and applying time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for mental disorders.
- Knowledge of Stepped Care principles, clinical care pathways, and outcomes monitoring.
- Experience in providing supervision to psychology residents, students, and peers.
- Ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making.
- Commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
This is a permanent part-time (50%) position, with 37.5 hours bi-weekly.
