About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a critical member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
  • Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes resident autonomy, independence, and individuality.
  • Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
  • Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
  • Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting changes in resident status in a timely manner to the Registered Nurse.
  • Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective functioning of assigned resident home areas through collaboration with team members.
  • Liaise with medical team members, nurse specialists, and consultants to support effective clinical care for all residents.
  • Continually assess and improve your own nursing practice and learning needs.
  • Participate in in-service programs, conferences, and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Document priorities, target dates, and strategies or interventions on individualized care plans to achieve the best possible outcomes for each resident.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check.

  • Long Term Care Experience.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive wage level of $41.35 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
