Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at L.A. Food Services LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
- Estimate and Manage Resources: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage the inventory and ordering process to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, and that all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Manage Budget and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Communicate with Customers: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that all customer feedback is documented and acted upon.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Environment: Noisy, odours, wet/damp, and outdoors.
- Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home, relocation costs covered by employer, and willing to relocate.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredient and supplies, hire food service staff, ensure quality and safety, manage budget and reports, communicate with customers.
- Supervision: 1 to 2 people, 3-4 people, and 5-10 people.
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, and English language.
