About the Role

As a Maintenance Planner at Soucy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. Under the supervision of the Maintenance, Plant and Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the work of the maintenance team using our maintenance management software (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Coordinate Maintenance Tasks: Utilize the CMMS to plan and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring that all necessary labor, equipment, parts, and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Analyze and Optimize Equipment Performance: Conduct thorough analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Manage Maintenance Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of maintenance inventory and supplies, including the creation and tracking of purchase orders and component inventories.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Clerk: Work closely with the supply clerk to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available to support maintenance operations.
  • Develop and Implement Preventive Maintenance Programs: Create and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend the lifespan of our assets.
  • Support Major Production Shutdowns: Assist in the planning and execution of major production shutdowns, ensuring that all necessary maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have a solid understanding of maintenance management principles and practices, as well as experience with CMMS software.
