We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Farm Operations Supervisor to join our team at S.G.D. Transport Ltd. as a key member of our agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Care and Welfare
- Ensure the health and well-being of livestock, including monitoring animal health and implementing bio-security procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers to maintain high standards of animal care.
- Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the farm, including managing work schedules, coordinating tasks, and maintaining work records and logs.
- Ensure farm safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and maintain livestock performance records, including tracking productivity and efficiency.
- Provide regular reports to management on farm operations, including any issues or concerns.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and lead a team of 11-15 people, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Work Environment and Conditions
