Job Title: Teaching Position

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team as a Teaching Position in the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program at the Burnhamthorpe Adult Learning Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the PSW program, with a focus on health care, support services, and gerontology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience in clinical placement supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students in the PSW program
  • Develop and implement curriculum for health care, support services, and gerontology
  • Supervise clinical placements and provide feedback to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive education program
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A qualified teacher who is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses
  • Clinical placement supervisory experience required
  • Up-to-date CPR (HCP) and standard first aid required
  • Co-operative Education experience is an asset
