Civil Engineer Job Description

Racar Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning various types of infrastructure projects, including bridges, buildings, and water and waste management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct economic analyses and feasibility studies to determine the viability of projects
  • Design and plan structural steel fabrications, dams, and other infrastructure projects
  • Develop procedures to clean up contaminated sites and monitor air, water, and soil quality
  • Plan and design highway and roadway projects, including traffic studies and municipal and regional traffic studies
  • Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information and conduct technical analyses of survey and field data
  • Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements
  • Develop construction specifications and procedures, and ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules, evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials, and interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work
  • Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects
  • Provide customer service and supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide customer service
