We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Verification Engineer to join our validation team at Ansys. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications, including OpticStudio and its add-in modules.
Key Responsibilities- Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts
- Perform functional and regression testing in manual and automated test environments
- Verify defect fixes and write software defect reports
- Create test plans, participate in defect management, and testing metrics
- Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes
- BS in Optical Engineering or directly related field with 1-3 years of experience or MS with no experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (conversational English skills are required)
- Solid foundation in optical physics
- Familiar with software validation and testing
- 1+ years of experience using Python (and/or MATLAB) for computational analysis and/or modeling
- Industrial experience designing, building, and/or testing optical products
- Technical knowledge and experience with the OpticStudio Application Programming Interface (ZOS-API)
