Position Overview

As a Home Support Worker at Developmental Dynamics Human Services Inc., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. This permanent position offers a structured work schedule of 32 hours per week in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with aquatic activities, including swimming and water exercises.
  • Encourage and facilitate regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Provide guidance on infant care to new parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in the living space.
  • Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and meal options.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Shop for groceries and essential household items.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary needs.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or equivalent non-university certificate/diploma (1-2 years).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, and Personal Support Worker.

Security and Safety Requirements

Work Environment

This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
