Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Playground Equipment Inspector in the City of Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of playground equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to playground equipment, including welding and fabrication of parts.
  • Respond to emergency situations and investigate incidents related to playground equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure proper installation and maintenance of playground equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including hand and power tools, and vehicles.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of playground equipment and safety standards.
  • Experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Class G driver's license.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The position requires the ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
