About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Balmoral Renovation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Instruct and supervise apprentices and other workers on site.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
  • Willingness to relocate for work assignments.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent judgment and reliability.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
