Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Brave Spaces Early Learning Commons.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that align with the needs and interests of children
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engage children in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
