Special Needs Support Assistant

Position: Special Needs Support Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Huron Superior Catholic District School Board
Effective Date: Immediately
Hours of Work: 6 hours/day
Responsibilities:
- Assist students with special needs, including behavioral support.
- Provide assistance within the classroom environment.
- Support students during outdoor activities.
- Help the classroom teacher prepare necessary materials for daily lessons.
- Assist in supervising students during class and other activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, toileting, and restraint as required.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned within the role.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with children.
- Capable of performing physical tasks related to the role.
- Possess the necessary skills and abilities to fulfill the responsibilities outlined.
Selection will be based on the candidate's performance, skills, and ability to fulfill the job requirements.
