About the Role

Calgary Co-op is seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist to provide science-based nutritional information to members and collaborate with stakeholders to create a whole health solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized dietary guidance and education to members through consultations, store tours, and in-store seminars.
  • Facilitate seminars and product demonstrations on various health and nutrition topics.
  • Champion community collaborations and science-based health and wellness efforts, including partnerships with local health organizations and clinics.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to support Whole Health Initiatives that reflect consumer preferences and trends.
  • Assist members in understanding nutrition labels and provide education through in-store materials and websites.
  • Conduct assessments of members' nutritional status and requirements.
  • Develop nutritional care plans and provide education and counseling.
  • Work with members, families, and communities to promote good health and wellness.
  • Conduct research to promote evidence-based professional practice and service.
  • Collect payments and provide leadership as a Subject Matter Expert for Whole Health Solutions.
  • Participate in HSE activities and ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or postgraduate qualification in human nutrition.
  • Excellent business acumen and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills and time management abilities.
  • Ability to problem solve and network for job efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work retail hours.
