Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Euro Asia Transload Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily transportation operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to ensure the smooth execution of daily transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement changes to schedules and policies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to senior management on transportation operations, including metrics on efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit and Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of transportation staff, including recruiting, training, and evaluating their performance.
  • Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of transportation operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure that all necessary shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time, and that goods are tracked and traced throughout the transportation process.
  • Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all transportation activities are in compliance with relevant regulations, including safety and security protocols.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring consistency and quality across all operations.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring that all transportation activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and manage transportation service rates and revenue, ensuring that they are aligned with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, and organized individual with a strong work ethic.
