Job Title:

Expert Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team as an expert software engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on database platforms and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain database platforms and cloud infrastructure
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met
  • Drive the direction of software and tooling architecture
  • Ensure high scalability and maintainability of components
  • Own features, components, and tooling being built
  • Contribute to and review designs and code from other team members
  • Support customer-facing teams and provide consultancy to colleagues
  • Partner with engineers to problem-solve and provide an excellent customer experience
Requirements:
  • Previous experience crafting and building tooling for use by other engineers
  • Relevant work experience in high-volume or critical production service environments
  • Experience writing complex k8 operators in Golang
  • Experience working with container orchestration e.g. Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of database design, including MySQL and NoSQL databases
  • A good understanding of networking protocols: TCP, HTTP, TLS, etc.
  • Love to code. Excellent development skills, knowledge of multiple languages.
