We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Coordinator to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation and integration of mechanical systems on our major construction project in Rocanville, Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project owner and construction teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination of mechanical construction activities.
- Oversight and Management: Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, pumps, and other critical equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all mechanical work meets project specifications, industry codes, and safety regulations.
- Scheduling and Planning: Develop and manage detailed construction schedules, track progress, and address any deviations from planned timelines.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control costs associated with mechanical construction, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve mechanical system issues to minimize project disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including progress reports, inspection records, and change orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and address mechanical-related concerns.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in mechanical construction coordination with significant experience on large-scale projects.
- Owner Experience: Proven experience as an owner's representative, with a thorough understanding of project requirements and owner expectations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process systems.
- Project Management Skills: Strong skills in project management, including experience with scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Safety Focus: Proven commitment to safety and experience in implementing safety protocols on large construction sites.
