Maintenance Mechanic, Plant

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Designed Precision Castings Inc. in Anglais. This permanent position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, machinery, and plant facilities. This includes assembling, installing, and testing equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install industrial machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy machinery and equipment
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Install and repair machinery and equipment
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • MS Office
  • Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) certification
  • Automated and robotic system experience
  • Conveyor experience
  • Electrical and electronic controls experience
  • Fans and blowers experience
  • Gas and air dryers experience
  • Heat exchangers experience
  • Hydraulic system experience
  • Lathes and other machining tools experience
  • Pneumatic system experience
  • Pumps and compressors experience
  • Welding equipment experience
  • Forklift experience
