Partner Staffing: Civil Municipal Land Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Municipal Land Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Partner Staffing. This role will play a crucial part in the planning, design, and execution of municipal and land development projects throughout Alberta and Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the design and development of municipal projects, including subdivisions and private sites.
  2. Engineering Design: Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and project proposals for civil infrastructure components such as roads, stormwater management, water distribution, and wastewater systems.
  3. Stormwater Design Expertise: Experience in stormwater design and hydraulic modeling.
  4. Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to ensure the viability of proposed developments.
  5. Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule.
  6. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure project approval and regulatory compliance.
  7. Construction Oversight: Perform construction inspections, site visits, and quality control reviews during the construction phase of projects.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Professional Registration: Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or eligible for registration with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta).
  3. Experience: 5+ years of experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, and civil design.
  4. Software Proficiency: Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, and StormCAD.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  6. Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.
