Role Overview

As a vital member of the DocuSign Microservices Framework team, you will play a key role in the Microservices Framework Storage Team, responsible for designing and managing storage solutions for various service teams utilizing Public Cloud Azure. Our initiatives focus on several core areas: data management solutions, routing and sharding platforms for microservices, storage disaster recovery, and enhancing user access to data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and enhance Azure storage solutions tailored to the organization's data storage and retrieval requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the functionalities of Event Hub, Event Bus, and HSM features.
  • Work closely with internal service teams to address feature requests concerning these storage types, utilizing Terraform and ADO pipelines.
  • Conduct storage architecture reviews for both new and existing service teams.
  • Develop and refine data metrics and alert systems to identify storage issues, providing troubleshooting support in production environments as needed.
  • Lead disaster recovery initiatives for Event Hub, Event Bus, and HSM.
  • Enhance the disaster recovery process through automation using ADO and Python/Powershell scripts.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers and service teams to ensure regular execution of disaster recovery exercises.
  • Provide support for the Routing Platform, including deployment, troubleshooting, feature implementation, validation, and on-call responsibilities.

Job Designation

Hybrid: This role requires a combination of in-office and remote work, with a minimum expectation of in-office presence.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 8+ years of practical software development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud deployment and configuration tools, utilizing scripting and configuration platforms.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions based on telemetry and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in object-oriented programming for building shims/APIs, multi-threading, No-SQL database development, and Azure storage architecture.
  • Adept at thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in contributing to a highly available site.
  • Experience participating in on-call rotations.
  • A strong desire to learn new software technologies and platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

In accordance with applicable legislation, the following pay range is provided: Washington: $145,000 - $214,350. This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
