Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a Part-Time Retail Cashier for our Liquor Store.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers by:

  • Providing outstanding customer service by promoting products and assisting guests with their selections based on your knowledge of liquor items.
  • Managing transactions accurately through the Point-of-Sale system, including the sale of tobacco and lottery products, while ensuring compliance with age restrictions.
  • Preparing and packing customer orders efficiently.
  • Conducting deliveries of liquor orders to customers using the delivery vehicle.
  • Maintaining the presentation of the Liquor Department by stocking shelves and organizing products.
  • Performing general store duties such as cleaning, opening, and closing procedures, while being vigilant about inventory loss.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have a passion for customer service and meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain Serve it Right certification.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Have previous retail experience, particularly in customer service, point-of-sale operations, and merchandising; experience in the liquor sector is advantageous.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Show a willingness to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques through training opportunities.
  • Value collaboration and relationship-building to achieve common goals, appreciating diverse perspectives.
  • Be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and kneeling as required.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Liquor Manager.
