About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at Driftwood Diamond Drilling Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication and repair.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal parts.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape and form metal parts.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) to cut and shape metal parts.
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient welding processes.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate to ensure workplace safety.
  • Pressure Welding Certification to demonstrate expertise in welding techniques.
  • Arc welding machine experience to fabricate and repair metal parts.
  • Brazing machine experience to bond metal parts.
  • Gas welding machine experience to fabricate and repair metal parts.
  • Soldering machine experience to bond metal parts.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and metalworking.

  • Transportation provided by employer to ensure convenient travel to work.
  • 56 hours per week of work to ensure efficient operations.
