Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our retirement homes in Shelburne and Errinrung, ensuring a high level of quality care and service.
  • Exercise delegated authority for resident care and planning, working closely with our interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring the financial stability of our homes.
  • Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, and risk management processes to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Participate in resident assessments and care planning, working collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow-up and resolution to meet our high standards.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners.
  • Lead resident care conferences and ensure effective communication with our team.
  • Recruit, select, and hire nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage labor relations, ensuring fair and effective resolution to any concerns or issues.
  • Lead our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes, driving excellence and innovation in our care delivery.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy levels and promote our homes in the community.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of clinical and business experience, with a strong background in senior living or long-term care.
  • Previous management experience is considered an asset.
  • RPN/RN with current good standing with the CNO.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of computerized software and Resident Care Management systems is an asset.
