Position Overview

Nancy O's is seeking a dedicated Sous-Chef to enhance our culinary team. This role is essential for maintaining high standards in food preparation and kitchen management.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operational expenses and other relevant data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Introduce and demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
  • Oversee the activities of specialized chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Regularly prepare and cook food, including for special events or guests.
  • Prepare and create specialty dishes tailored to customer preferences.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Prepare meals for customers with dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary language of communication in the workplace is English.
