Course Overview

This studio-based course offers an engaging platform for students involved in diverse artistic practices to explore evolving themes in contemporary art and theory. The curriculum promotes a fusion of materials and production techniques, allowing for a rich dialogue around the selected topic.

Winter 2025 Focus: Art and Well-Being.

This course will be conducted in person, fostering direct interaction and collaboration among participants.

Application Requirements:

Position Type: Regular Part-Time Professor

Expected Class Size: 20 students

Course Credits: 3

Work Commitment: 52 hours

Course Format: In-person sessions

Language of Instruction: English

Qualifications:

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
  • Expertise in contemporary art practices.
  • Background in neuroscience.
  • Ability to connect visual art with mental health through both material and conceptual approaches.

Additional Notes:

An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the required qualifications.
