Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Slot Technical Supervisor, this role is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of casino assets. You will be tasked with routine maintenance, major overhauls, and modifications to ensure optimal functionality. Collaboration, multitasking, and exceptional communication skills are essential in this dynamic environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on slot machines and progressive meters located throughout the gaming floor.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs at the circuit board level, ensuring precise troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Maintain and repair a range of gaming-related equipment, including automated card shufflers, currency counters, Park and Pay systems, and HERMES printing machines.
  • Adhere to established internal controls and procedures, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Uphold safety and security standards, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Manage machine installations, moves, and conversions, meticulously documenting all activities for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in lifting slot machines weighing over 200 lbs., demonstrating physical capability and teamwork.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of design, repair, and maintenance standards for electronic and slot games.
  • Proactively troubleshoot electronic issues, identifying and resolving malfunctions efficiently.
  • Embrace a flexible approach, readily assisting with other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education is preferred or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education in electronics.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License, demonstrating adherence to industry standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of slot operating systems and gaming technologies.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment are essential.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, fostering positive relationships and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry advancements.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly between Ontario sites is required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, up to six days per week, as needed.
  • Physical capability to work on equipment and lift up to 50 lbs. is essential.
