Qualifications and Requirements

**Education and Training:**

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Graduate of a recognized Perinatal Nursing specialty program.

**Certifications and Licenses:**

  • Current CPR Basic Rescuer.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate.
  • Fetal Health Surveillance Course Certificate.
  • Breastfeeding Course Certificate.

**Work Experience:**

  • Two (2) years recent related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    • Ability to apply the nursing process effectively in a well-organized manner to the care of assigned patients as required by the hospital and described in BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards of Nursing Practice.
