About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Nanny to join our family team at Vo's Family. As a Nanny, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including meal preparation and household chores.
  • Organize and participate in activities with the children, such as games, outings, and educational programs.
  • Supervise and care for the children, including taking them to and from school and appointments.
  • Support the children's social and emotional development, including providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.
  • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources and language training.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, and support their integration into our community.
  • Support the cultural competency and awareness training of all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
