About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Automation Specialist to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Digital Center of Excellence, you will play a critical role in driving our design automation initiative forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Implementation of Design Automation Solutions: Develop and implement design automation solutions across the enterprise, leveraging computational, parametric, and generative design methodologies.
  • Develop Innovative Solutions: Create a wide range of solutions, including visual programming graphs, desktop add-ins, and web-based applications.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to better understand design challenges and develop tailored automation solutions.
  • Represent the Design Automation Team: Represent the design automation team on multi-team projects, navigating diverse perspectives to foster collaboration and drive outcomes within complex squads.
  • Mentor and Develop Team Members: Mentor a team of design automation specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in design automation and computational design.
Requirements
  • Expert Knowledge in Revit or Civil 3D: Expert knowledge in either Revit or Civil 3D, with a strong preference for individuals who have at least an intermediate to expert knowledge in both.
  • Proficiency in C# and Python: Proficiency in C# and Python programming.
  • Experience in Leading Digital Asset Development: Experience in leading the development of digital assets as a product project lead is highly valued.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent Communication and Documentation Skills: Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
