About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Arborist Assistant to join our team at Precision Tree Services Ltd. As an Arborist Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our tree care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate various vehicles and equipment, including chipping machines, to ensure efficient and safe tree care operations.
  • Report Malfunctions: Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Check and Maintain Equipment: Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Transportation and Travel: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to travel to various locations as required.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including outdoors and in noisy conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, with the ability to walk, bend, and crouch as required.
  • Communication: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a Class 5/5F/G License (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Personal Suitability: Possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and flexibility, with the ability to work in a team environment.
