Key Responsibilities- Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough medical consultations to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and diagnose various health conditions.
- Prescription and Treatment: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as necessary to manage patients' health conditions.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform and assist in routine surgery, including inoculations and vaccinations to prevent and treat diseases.
- Healthcare Policy and Planning: Participate in healthcare policy and planning to ensure high-quality patient care and management of health services.
- Patient Education and Support: Advise patients on healthcare and provide counseling and support on various health and lifestyle issues.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in primary care medicine.
- Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
