Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grade 2 Educator to join our team at Frontier School Division. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education Degree
  • Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
  • Sound knowledge of provincial Early Years curricula
  • Previous Early Years teaching experience
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience working in a northern community (an asset)
  • Experience working with students with unique needs
  • Commitment to differentiated instruction
  • Willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
  • Team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
  • Self-motivated
