Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Installation and Maintenance Lead to join our team at Nordex Group in Alberta, Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of service technicians to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and related equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of installation and maintenance activities.
- Provide training and support to service technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and report on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and safety metrics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies to ensure the team is equipped to meet evolving demands.
Requirements:
- 5 years of directly related work experience in wind turbine installation and maintenance.
- Associate degree or technical school certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and development.
- Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
- Valid Canadian driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to meet specific Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) weight limit standards of 265lbs or less.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
