National Automotive Service Trainer

Corporate Training Services at Durham College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Automotive Service Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to raise the level of service product and process knowledge of General Motors Canada dealer personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver engaging corporate training programs using presentation software and hands-on demonstration equipment for live and virtual sessions.
- Develop training scripts for presentations on various General Motors Canada passenger cars and light trucks.
- Collaborate with team members in the research, design, and development of training materials.
- Communicate effectively with participants, clients, and the program team.
- Travel across Canada on an ongoing basis.
- A minimum of five years General Motors Dealership Service Department experience or related experience in an automotive environment.
- Training experience for corporate clients with demonstrated highly effective presentation skills for live and virtual deliveries.
- Experience in the development of training materials.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (both PC and MAC), Keynote, and Pages.
- Extensive knowledge of General Motors vehicles and the competition.
- Knowledge of current and ongoing developments within the Canadian car and light duty truck market, including technological advancements and EVs.
- Holds a valid G Driver's license.
- Demonstrated above-average verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly effective presentation skills.
- Bilingual in spoken and written English and French.
Pay Band 10: $83,443-104,303
