About the Role

eNature Greenhouses Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our farm, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Farm Activities: Oversee the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Crop Production: Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that all crops meet the highest quality standards, and maintain quality control and production records.
  • Manage Finances and Records: Maintain financial and production records, and negotiate with clients for provision of services.
  • Ensure Farm Safety and Bio-Security: Develop and implement farm safety and bio-security procedures, and ensure that all staff follow these procedures.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including automated irrigation systems and tractors.
  • Recruit and Train Staff: Hire and train staff as needed, and ensure that all staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: College/CEGEP education and experience in farm operations or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with automated irrigation systems, tractors, and other farm equipment.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and own transportation.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. The work site environment is hot, and the work setting is a rural area. The candidate must be willing to relocate.
