About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at 1586747 Ontario Inc. as a Dispatch Logistician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of our logistics operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments, and perform routine clerical duties to support our supply chain management.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on supply chain performance, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Time Management: Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries, and maintain work records and logs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that logistics operations are running smoothly.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as needed.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, and co-ordinate, assign and review work to ensure that team members are meeting their goals.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Language: English.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
