Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pcie Design Verification Engineer to join our team at AMD. As a key member of our design verification team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Verification: Verify PCI Express designs using the latest UVM standard and develop comprehensive test plans to ensure coverage closure.
  • Low Power Verification: Apply low power verification methodologies and measure overall system performance of our IP.
  • Test Plan Development: Write, implement, and review test plans to ensure thorough testing of our products.
  • Verification Component Development: Develop testbenches and verification components such as UVCs, models, BFMs, and reusable verification environments.
  • Test Case Development: Write, modify, and maintain random and directed test cases and libraries in System Verilog/UVM.
  • Coverage Analysis: Analyze functional, code, and test plan coverage to ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Assertion and Checker Development: Implement assertions, checkers, and monitors to ensure product quality.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilize in-house and 3rd party IP/SOC CAD and EDA tools for design verification.
  • Methodology Deployment: Deploy industry-leading verification methodologies such as UVM and formal verification.
  • Regression Triage and Debugging: Triage and debug regressions to ensure product quality.
  • Bug Reproduction: Reproduce functional bugs found in silicon in simulation verification tools.
  • Code Review Participation: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
Requirements
  • Digital Design Experience: Experience in digital design in RTL, Verilog HDL.
  • Testbench Architecture: Experience in testbench architecture, System Verilog, UVM.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Scripting Skills: Experience in Perl, Ruby, Shell-scripting, UNIX/LINUX environment.
  • Simulation Tools: Experience in VCS, NCSIM, Questa, or other simulator and associated waveform viewers such as Verdi.
  • System Architecture: Knowledge of PC system architecture: PCI Express, x86, ARM.
  • On-Chip Bus Interfaces: Knowledge of on-chip bus interfaces and architectures: AMBA AXI, OCP, PIPE.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or Bachelor's Degree: A master's or bachelor's degree with working experience in ASIC area.
