About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Inpatient team at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in beautiful Vernon, B.C.

The successful candidate will provide nursing care to cardiac patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. They will enhance quality of life for the patient and family, consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare providers, and demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing practice.

About the Team

This unit offers an amazing, supportive team environment with 28 beds, 18 of which are monitored telemetry and 10 are acute medical. The team is fast-paced and high-acuity, with a mix of medical and cardiac telemetry patients, including surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring pre or post-op and step-down patients from ICU.

Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • BCLS within 3 years
